Otra de las cuestiones que podis tener con respecto a la gala es su duracin. Un ao ms, la comunidad de jugadores de todo el mundo tambin pueden participar en los The Game Awards realizando sus propias votaciones para escoger a su GOTY (algo que ya os explicamos cmo hacer desde este otro artculo).
Hasta estos momentos, la organizacin ha revelado cules son los videojuegos que han pasado a la segunda fase de votaciones del pblico y que, por lo tanto, an son firmes candidatos a llevarse el premio del GOTY del pblico. La situacin est muy emocionante, pues pesos pesados de la talla de Starfield o Final Fantasy XVI ya se han quedado fuera.
