The official website for anisong singer halca has announced that her double A-side eighth single “Darekare Scramble / Arekore Drastic feat.Suzuki Aina” is set to be released on August 17, 2022. It will be her first double A-side single in her four-year career.
“Darekare Scramble” will be featured as the opening theme for the summer 2022 TV anime Engage Kiss to premiere in Japan on July 3.
Meanwhile, “Arekore Drastic feat.Suzuki Aina” will be used as the opening theme for the Dropkick on My Devil! franchise’s forthcoming TV anime third season, Dropkick on My Devil! X, which is set to premiere on July 5. She previously sang the second season’s opening theme “Tokitoshite Violence.” As its title suggests, Aina Suzuki, the voice of the anime’s protagonist Jashin-chan, joined the recording as the featuring artist. Prior to the CD release, both songs will also be available digitally on the anime’s premiere days.
Tomoya Tabuchi (UNISON SQUARE GARDEN bassist), who worked on both songs, says, “I started the production wondering where to set my sights, the setting of the story or the seriousness, but as a result, I was able to write the songs all at one after I thought ‘just blow it up’ would be a good answer. The songs are like a machine gun, made possible by halca-san’s precise sense of rhythm. I hope you will be hit by them a lot.”
