We’re still in the early hours before the anime adaptation of Makoto Ojiro’s Insomniacs After School manga breaks the horizon in 2023, but for now, we can gaze up at its charming first key visual and full trailer that were just unveiled.
The trailer also reveals the anime’s main staff and cast members, previewing Gen Sato (Chrome in Dr. STONE) as Ganta Nakami and Konomi Tamura in her first main role as Isaki Magari.

Based on the manga by Makoto Ojiro, Insomniacs After School is being directed by Yuki Ikeda (Tribe Nine episode director) at studio LIDEN FILMS, with series composition by Rintaro Ikeda (Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It), character designs by Hiroaki Fukuda (Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song- animation director) and music by Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia).
The slice-of-life romance series follows the star-crossing of Ganta and Isaki, two struggling insomniacs in Nanao who find comfort together in the now defunct Astronomy Club observatory.
