After leaving us on a literal cliffhanger in the first episode of the Pokémon: Hisuian Snow web anime, the second episode was released last night over on the official Pokémon YouTube channel (and can be seen embedded below) telling more of the tale of a young Alec and the Hisuian Zorua he meets on his first adventure (read: going somewhere he shouldn’t) in the historic Sinnoh region.

The second episode, titled “Fiery Reflections in Snow,” dives a little deeper into the lore of the Pokémon: Legends Arceus game, leaving viewers on yet another cliffhanger of an ending – this time featuring what looks like a Space-Time distortion Garchomp.

Pokémon: Hisuian Snow is directed by Ken Yamamoto (animation director and key animator on Fate/Grand Order) over at WIT Studio, with Taku Kishimoto (Pokémon: Twilight Wings) writing the scripts, KURO designing the characters, and music from Conisch. The series is set to span three episodes and cover Alec’s exploration of the Hisui region. Here’s how Pokémon described the second episode:

After tumbling off a steep cliff, Alec and Hisuian Zorua work together to climb back up. But when Alec returns with a Pokémon in tow, he’s shocked by his father’s reaction!

The third and final episode of Pokémon: Hisuian Snow is set to stream on June 22 on YouTube and Pokémon TV.
