Today marks Day 1 of Netflix’s Geeked Week, and they closed out this morning’s news with a little something for One Piece fans: our latest look at the upcoming live-action adaptation!
The streaming service’s video presentation, which featured trailers and footage from popular current and upcoming series, ended with behind-the-scenes footage of the project. Specifically, we get a look at some of the concept art and finished sets bringing Eiichiro Oda‘s world to life. The video is introduced by Luffy himself, Iñaki Godoy, along with showrunners Steve Maeda and Matt Owens:

In addition to this behind-the-scenes sneek peek, Netflix also released six new casting announcements:

The live-action series is currently in production in South Africa as the Straw Hat Pirates approach two major landmarks: the manga’s 25th anniversary on July 22, and the Japanese theatrical premiere of ONE PIECE FILM RED on August 6.
