The official website for ONE PIECE FILM RED, the forthcoming 15th feature film in the One Piece anime franchise announced today that its world premiere event is set to be held at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on July 22, 2022. Eiichiro Oda’s original One Piece manga started serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on July 22, 1997, so July 22 was recognized and registered as “One Piece Day” by Japan Anniversary Association in 2017.

The voice cast of The Straw Hat Pirates, including Mayumi Tanaka who has voiced the protagonist Monkey D. Luffy since 1999, will gather on the stage. After the event, ONE PIECE FILM RED will be screened for the first time in the world.

Applications for visitors will be accepted on the 27th issue 27 of Weekly Shonen Jump (June 6 release), Shueisha’s manga application Shonen Jump +, and the film’s official website. Shonen Jump + will accept applications from June 13, and the official website on June 6. The deadline for applications is June 26.
