Riko, Reg and Nanachi had their time in the sun when the second trailer for Made in Abyss Season 2 debuted at the start of the May, but now it’s the Ganja group’s arduous journey that’s in the spotlight for a brand-new trailer ahead of the sequel anime’s premiere on July 6 at 10:30pm JST.

The trailer also provides a preview of the anime’s ending theme, “Endless Embrace” by MYTH & ROID (Overlord). Riko Azuna (So I’m a Spider, So What?) is performing “Katachi” for the opening theme.

Based on the manga by Akihito Tsukushi, Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun is once again being directed by Masayuki Kojima at studio Kinema Citrus, with series composition by Hideyuki Kurata, character designs by Kazuhicka Kise and music by Kevin Penkin.

Sentai Filmworks announced that they had acquired the series and would be releasing it in association with select digital outlets in 2022 with a home video release to follow.
