More details have come to light about SHADOWS HOUSE Season 2 from its pre-broadcast livestream event today, including the sequel anime’s second key visual, main trailer, theme song details and July 9 at midnight JST (listed as July 8 at 24:00) premiere.

Aside from setting up a slew of gothic secrets and shadowy fun to pick apart this summer, the trailer also provides a preview of the anime’s opening theme, “Shall We Dance?” by ReoNa (who performed the first season’s ending theme), as well as its ending theme, “Masquerade” by ClariS (Puella Magi Madoka Magica).

Based on the manga by Somato, SHADOWS HOUSE is directed by Kazuki Ohashi (PERSONA5 the Animation) at studio CloverWorks, with series composition by Toshiya Ono (The Promised Neverland), character designs by Chizuko Kusakabe (Backflip!! animation director) and music by Kenichiro Suehiro (Golden Kamuy).

High atop a cliff sits the mansion known as Shadows House, home to a faceless clan that pretends to live like nobles. They express their emotions through living dolls that also endlessly clean the home of soot. One such servant, Emilico, aids her master Kate as they learn more about themselves and the mysteries of the house.
