The official websites for the forthcoming two anime film adaptations of Yomoji Otono’s sci-fi romance novels, Boku ga Aihsita Subete no Kimi he (To all of you that I loved) and Kimi wo Aishita Hitori no Boku he (To the only one who loved you, me), have posted 30-second teaser trailers starting with the same narration, “From the moment we are born, we make countless choices in our lives.”

“Boku ga Aihsita Subete no Kimi he” teaser trailer:

Message from director Jun Matumoto:

Koyomi Takasaki and Koyomi Hidaka, the same and different people, different and the same. I wonder which one of them is the happiest. It is surprising to see how one person can live a life so different from the other, even with one different choice. Is this only a science fiction story, or could it happen in the real world? But I believe that the two Koyomi lived happy lives, even though the process was extremely different. I wonder what the viewers of these two films think about these two chronicles, and I invite you to see them for yourself.

Message from director Kenichi Sakai:

If you could have a glimpse of a world you did not choose, what world would you like to see? Perhaps we should think more about not making this world we have chosen wrong, but we are free to imagine. May this world move toward a world full of rich imagination.

The two films are set to be released in Japan simultaneously on October 7, 2022. The novel author says, “In the infinite number of parallel worlds that exist, one of the happiest futures that this fantasy has led me to is the one that will be made into these films. Two films are being released simultaneously. They are made in a way that you can watch them from either side, and the order in which you watch the two films will greatly change the way you feel about them. I hope you will enjoy the choice you can only make once, which of the two films to see first.”
