The tea has officially been spilled on the TV anime adaptation of romantic comedy manga Yuri is My Job!, which unveiled main cast and staff details, a teaser trailer and dual teaser visuals that put the main characters’ dynamic on full display.

The teaser trailer highlights the initial meeting of Hime Shirasagi and Mitsuki Ayanokoji, played by Yui Ogura (Nasse in Platinum End) and Sumire Uesaka (Aletta in Restaurant to Another World), respectively.

 

 

Based on the manga by Miman, Yuri is My Job! is being directed by Hijiri Sanpei (Wasteful Days of High School Girls) at Passione and STUDIO LINGS, with character designs by Taisuke Iwasaki (Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU chief animation director) and production by infinite.

Kodansha USA, who publishes the manga’s official English version, describes the series as:

 

Hime is a picture-perfect high school princess—she’s admired by all and never trips up! So when she accidentally injures a café manager named Mai, she’s willing to cover some shifts to keep her facade intact. To Hime’s surprise, the café is themed after a private school where the all-female staff always puts on their best act for their loyal customers. However, under the guidance of the most graceful girl there, Hime can’t help but blush and blunder! Beneath all the frills and laughter, Hime feels tension brewing as she finds out more about her new job and her budding feelings…

 

A release date for the anime is yet to be announced.
