There’s a fine line between “cool beauty” and “cruel beauty”, and now credit-free versions of the opening and ending animation sequences have been published for Shikmori’s Not Just a Cutie, a currently broadcasting TV anime based on the romantic comedy manga by Keigo Maki about a girl who shows an edgier side when her hapless boyfriend is in trouble.

 

 

The OP video (above) features the official opening theme song for the series, entitled “Honey Jet Coaster”, which is performed by nasuo☆. The ED video (below) features the official ending theme song for the series, entitled “Rout BLUE”, which is performed by Yuki Nakashima.

The original Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie manga is serialized by Kodansha in hteir Magazine Pocket manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Kodansha USA. Crunchyroll describes the story of the series as follows:

 

The ultimate “heartthrob girlfriend” appears! Naturally unlucky high school student Izumi’s girlfriend is his classmate Shikimori. She has a beautiful smile and kind personality and always seems happy when she’s with Izumi.
