The official website for the stage play adaptation project based on an action mystery seinen manga series Bungo Stray Dogs written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa has announced that its seventh show STORM BRINGER is scheduled to be performed at Nihon Seinekan Hall in Tokyo from June 24 to 27, 2022, and at Higashiosaka Cultural Creation Hall’s Dreame Hous in Osaka on July 2 and 3.

 

The story of the next play is set one year after the Arahabaki incident, which was told in the previous play Dazai, Chuya, Fifteen Years Old in October 2021. When 16-year-old Chuya joins the Port Mafia and aims for the top position, Paul Verlaine, the “King of Assassins” who calls Chuya his younger brother, appears…

 

Keisuke Ueda, who has played Chuya Nakahara throughout the series, is confirmed to reprise his role. Norihito Nakayashi, who has worked on all of the past shows, again serves as writer/director. He says, The original novel ‘STORM BRINGER’ is a novel like a storm, indeed. Action, mystery, adventure, and many other elements swirl wildly and make the reader hot. I am are most looking forward to taking on this work as the seventh installment of the ‘Bungo Stray Dogs’ stage play series. Together with our charming cast and crew, I hope to create a storm in the theater. Please look forward to it.”
