As previously announced, BAKI HANMA, a Netflix original anime adapting Keisuke Itagaki’s long-running and hyper-violent martial arts manga about a young man struggling to be the strongest fighter in the world, is coming back for another round of chaos and hilarity, and now a new teaser trailer hints at the arrival of Baki’s strongest challenger yet: a “missing link” caveman known as Pickle who is revived in the modern day.

The original Baki manga is serialized by Akita Shoten in their Weekly Shonen Champion manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Media Do International. Netflix describes the previous arc of BAKI HANMA as follows:

To gain the skills he needs to surpass his powerful father, Baki enters Arizona State Prison to take on the notorious inmate known as Mr. Unchained.

A key visual for the upcoming Baki: Son of Ogre Netflix anime series, featuring Baki Hanma squaring off against a giant mantis representing his father's fighting spirit in the foreground while Baki's father, Yujiro Hanma, lurks menacingly in the background.

BAKI HANMA is directed by Toshiki Hirano and features animation production by TMS Entertainment. The series will stream on Netflix in worldwide markets, but the release date for the newest season of 12 episodes has not yet been revealed.
