Netflix Japan announced today that the second season of Hanma Baki – Son of Ogre, the web anime series based on the third instrument of Keisuke Itagaki’s long-running martial arts manga series Baki, is now in the works.
As an original series for Netflix, the 12-episode first seaon was streamed worldwide from September 30, 2021. Neflix and the anime’s official Twitter account have posted some screenshots from the new season, which include anime visuals of Pickle, a primitive man who has been preserved since the Jurassic era and will be the main opponent in the story.
