Games of chance are serious business in a new teaser trailer for Jong-tama PONG☆, an upcoming short form TV anime based on the Mahjong Soul mobile game created by Cat Food Studio and distributed by Yostar.
Additionally, it has been confirmed that the cast of the Mahjong Soul mobile game will reprise their roles for the TV anime, including (pictured above, from left to right):
- Yūki Ono as Wanjirou.
- Maaya Uchida as Ichihime.
- Mariya Ise as Kaguyahime.
- Shinnosuke Tachibana as Hideki Akechi.
- Ami Koshimizu as Yui Yagi.
- And Hiroki Yasumoto as Osamu Saitou.
Jong-tama PONG☆ features direction, series composition, and screenplays by Kenshirō Morii and animation production by SCOOTER FILMS. The series will broadcast as part of the Mainichi Broadcasting System / Tokyo Broadcasting System “Super Animeism” programming block on Fridays during the 25:50 time slot (actually on Saturday morning at 1:50am JST) beginning on April 01, 2022.
