Next month, Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These continues its current “season” in Japanese cinemas. Subtitled Clash, the new installment is three films long, with the first having premiered earlier this month.

Chapter 2 continues Yoshiki Tanaka‘s epic story, as the Galactic Empire (led by Reinhard von Lohengramm) attempts to reclaim Iserlohn Fortress from the Free Planets Alliance (Yang Wen-li). The man with the plan for this battle is science and technology officer Anton Hilmer von Schaft, played in the original anime by the late Kinryū Arimoto.

Schaft will be played in Die Neue These by Yūsaku Yara — the narrator of the original Legend of the Galactic Heroes anime adaptation.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Clash -Chapter 2- premieres in Japan on April 1, and will run for a three week engagement. Chapter 3 is scheduled to premiere May 13.
