The official website for the Yowamushi Pedal stage play series inspired by Wataru Watanabe’s road bicycle racing-themed manga has posted a teaser visual and three individual cast visuals fot its forthcoming a new show “The Cadence!,” which is set to be performed in Tokyo and Osaka in the summer of 2022. Its is going to be the 16th show in the series.
19-year-old Ryunosuke Shimamura is newly cast as the protagonist Sakamichi Onoda, in place of Ryosuke Sota, who played the character in the previous 15th show SPARE BIKE Chapter -Heroes!!- in March 2021. And 27-year-old Shunya Sunagawa and 26-year-old Satsuki Kitano will play Shunsuke Imaizumi and Shokichi Naruko, respectively.
The stage play series’ 10th anniversary show will be directed by Kosuke Kujirai, who has played Junta Teshima since 2016, and Shatner Nishida, who directed the previous shows, takes on a new position as general director and script writer.
