The official site and social media accounts for the In The Heart Of Kunoichi Tsubaki TV anime adaptation have announced a new campaign where both outlets will announce a new cast member a day until the anime adaptation’s premiere early next month. To start the campaign, the first cast member to be revealed under the campaign is Yumi Uchiyama playing the role of ninja honor student Hana.The anime adaptation is based off of author Soichiro Yamamoto’s ninja comedy manga of the same name.

The original In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki manga is serialized by Shogakukan in their Monthly Shōnen Sunday manga magazine. Set in a remote ninja village populated by lady shinobi that are forbidden from having any contact with men, In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki follows the daily life of Tsubaki, a ninja team leader who is recognized as exceptional even by the leader of the kunoichi clan. But Tsubaki is troubled, because even though she’s never seen or touched one, she can’t stop thinking about wanting to meet a man.
