Along with a second key visual, the official website for the forthcoming CG anime feature film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has posted a 60-second second trailer introducing Piccolo’s new form in which he unleashes his hidden potential for the first time. In the trailer, Piccolo, under the assault of Gamma 1 and Gamma 2, the Red Ribbon Army’s newly created ultimate androids, infiltrates the Red Ribbon Army base and witnesses a huge conspiracy. Faced with these powerful enemies, Piccolo unleashes his hidden abilities and becomes significantly more powerful.

It has been also announced that the first one million theatergoers will receive limited edition cards of Son Gohan and Piccolo (hidden potential released version) for the “Super Dragon Ball Heroes” card game. In addition, the film will be screened in the IMAX, 4DX, and MX4D theaters in Japan.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the 21st film in the Dragon Ball anime franchise, following the 20th film Dragon Ball Super Broly released in December 2018. The Dragon Ball manga’s original creator Akira Toriyama is in charge of the original story, screenplay, and character design. Tetsuro Kodama, who worked on the 3D part of Dragon Ball Super Broly, is attached to direct. the film is set to be released in Japan on April 22, 2022, then will arrive in the North America theaters this summer.
