A dramatic new preview video and a the Japanese TV schedule have been published for I’m Quitting Heroing (known in Japan as Yusha, Yamemasu), an upcoming TV anime based on the series of fantasy light novels written by Quantum and illustrated by Hana Amano about a former brave hero who finds new employment rebuilding the Demon Kingdom that he previously destroyed.

 

The video (below) highlights the ending theme song of the series, entitled “Growing”, which is performed by Nao Tōyama.

 

 

The original I’m Quitting Heroing light novels are published in Japan by Fujimi Shobo (a division of KADOKAWA), and a manga adaptation featuring artwork by Nori Kazato is also available via the Book Walker app, who describe the story of the series as follows:

 

After saving the world, the strongest hero Leo became someone who is not wanted in the peaceful human world. He was too strong. Exiled, he seeks a job at the Demon King’s Army, which he had defeated and needs to be rebuilt.
The Army had many problems: too much work, financial troubles, etc. Leo starts to make things better using his power.
Leo encounters Echidna again, and asks her why she invaded the human world. There was an unexpected story—!

The I’m Quitting Heroing TV anime is directed by Yuu Nobuta and Hisashi Ishii and features animation production by EMT Squared. The series will broadcast in Japan according to the following TV schedule:

 

  • AT-X: every Tuesday during the 22:30 time slot beginning on April 05, 2022.
  • TOKYO MX: every Tuesday during the 24:30 time slot beginning on April 05, 2022.
  • BS11: every Tuesday during the 24:30 time slot beginning on April 05, 2022.
  • Mainichi Broadcasting System: every Tuesday during the 27:00 time slot beginning on April 05, 2022.

 

Please note that some Japanese TV schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming of the previous day, so for example the 24:30 time slot on Tuesday evening is actually on Wednesday morning at 12:30am JST.
